Industrial wastewater carries high-strength chemical loads in addition to flow variability. Because of the waste constituents involved, industrial wastewater treatment includes a combination of chemical and biological processes during the treatment train. A small change in chemical composition can disrupt the processes; hence, the treatment process requires close and constant supervision with regard to flow equalization, pH management, and dissolved oxygen levels.
ISSi personnel have extensive experience in monitoring and operating industrial wastewater plants. Activities include:
Monitoring individual processes with respect to preset parameters.
Chemical addition to maintain required pH and alkalinity levels.
Maintaining chemical inventories.
Responding to process changes by making adjustments in process parameters.
Testing and sampling of influent, effluent, and process flows.
Maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.
